Winter Wedding Decorations

If you are planning to have your wedding in winter season, you should consider your winter wedding decorations. The good news is this is going to be easy because of the many ideas that you can see when you go outside—the gleaming white snow, magical snowflakes, festive poinsettias and berries, and other things that nature has to offer. Moreover, this season is a Holiday season, which makes it easy to create a cheerful and festive mood. To choose the right winter wedding decorations, here are some tips and ideas.

For the flowers, you can choose a combination of red and green, white and green, or blue and white. Add a touch of gold and silver to any combination and you now have a color scheme for your winter wedding. Your options when it comes to flowers are endless. Go to your local florist and check out the flowers in season.

Candles are also great decorations for a winter wedding, especially if you will hold your wedding party at night. This will create a magical atmosphere and people will forget about the biting cold weather outside.

Bells are also great decorations for your wedding in winter. This is very Christmas-y and festive. Just think about the Christmas song “Jingle Bells.” You can add little bells in your centrepieces or hang bells on trees in our reception area.

You can also use Christmas trees as decorations. Small ones for the guests’ tables and bigger ones all over the place. This will create the feeling of outdoors. Hang lights on the bigger trees and hang treats on the small Christmas tree centrepieces which your guests can pluck whenever they want.

Take advantage of the natural elements that you can get and see outside such as pinecones, holly leaves, berries, snowflakes, mistletoes, poinsettias, and so on. Let go of your imagination and do not be afraid to be different from traditional winter weddings.

  1. You also don’t have to do all the work yourself but you can get everyone involved in helping. For example, have a “decorating party” at a set date before the ceremony so that you’ll have many hands to help you put things together and set them up.
