While some brides know just which colors they will use for their wedding flowers, décor, and gowns, other brides like to choose their wedding colors according to season. Brides that get married in the spring often choose pastel shades of lavender, pink, yellow, green, and blue. Some brides will have a rainbow of colors in different pastel shades. More and more often, brides and bridesmaids are cognizant of the costs associated with the wedding and one modern trend is for bridesmaids to choose dresses they will be able to wear again.

Wedding colors according to season is just one of the factors in choosing wedding themes and colors. Many times, finances are a factor and you may end up choosing a certain color simply because the flowers or other decorations that you can afford complement that color the best.
The good news is that each year, more and more rules disappear as brides and grooms are taking care of more of the details themselves and doing things their way and casting tradition to the wind.
