Creative Ideas for Wedding Color Combinations

Traditional weddings are usually planned around the standard wedding colors such as ivory, pale pink and white. If you do not want your wedding to be just like any other wedding, you can try to be more creative and unique with great wedding color combinations.

You can get ideas for the colors for your wedding from almost anywhere. For instance, if you are into bold and vibrant effect of different colorful flowers such as purple lisyanthus and orange lilies, you can incorporate these colors into your wedding color combinations. If you already have planned to go for muted colors, you can still have the dresses of the bridesmaids in playful colors. Remember that everything depends on your personal preference and vibrant color patterns can definitely add character to your wedding.

One of the most popular wedding color combinations is aqua blue blended with vivid crimson accents. Blue is considered as a happy color and the crimson accent can be definitely emphasized. You can use these colors through having a blue background with crimson prints.

Another exciting color combination for your wedding is celadon green and tangerine, which can be more intense compared to the blue and crimson palette. Though these colors create a brilliant statement, they do not collide with each other.

There are brides that choose to combine intense colors with pale ones. This scheme is very ideal to allow a single color to be the accent but prevent it from being overpowering. It is best to show your creativity when blending intense and neutral colors. Though you can mix your primary color with a safe one such as ivory or white, it is more interesting to blend the intense color such as lime with brown, which is a neutral color.

After deciding on the best color mixture for your wedding, it is important to know how to use them creatively. Make sure to use your color combinations in your flower arrangements, centerpieces and other wedding decorations. In order to keep a pure appeal, it is recommended to feature two colors.

Hello, I am interested in a dress that has a princess look to it. I want a beach wedding but the dress isn’t loose enough to flow like a normal beach dress. I was thinking of red and white, red and silver, or yellow and white, or yellow and silver. I want roses and I think Yellow and red roses are beautiful. But I’m stuck. Please help.

I found a great place to get ideas is through googles image search option.

Just go to Google image search and type in “princess beach wedding dress”, you can add more description such as specific colors. This should give you a good idea on what look you are going for.

Yellow and red would work great with a beach themed wedding. I would stick with two colors , you don’t won’t it to get to busy.

As I said before try the Google image search, it’s a wonderful tool to get ideas.
