I’m head over heels in love with Amber & Jesse’s country chic wedding, submitted by Melissa Rena Photography. I just love when couples step out of the norm and put their own spin on things. They clearly prove that a pastel palette, combined with a country chic style, can work beautifully for a fall fete.

From the Bride, Amber: Our wedding theme was a mixer of Country and Shabby Chic. Family is very important to us both, so when our grandparents wanted to share their heirlooms and antiques…we were more than thrilled to use them as decor! It was a must that our wedding reflect our personalities and that it was different from every other wedding we had been to. We are big DIY people, so we made several things for the big day.

We decided to have our wedding at the Epic Event Centre in Gallatin, TN (which was a middle point for both our families to travel to). It was the perfect venue because we wanted the wedding to be held indoors. The space we rented was 8100 sq ft…allowing us to have both the ceremony and reception in the same room!

Since our wedding venue was in the middle of a busy city, we decided on renting a location for 4 hours that morning in order to get ready and do our photos. Rose Mont Mansion was a terrific location and allowed us to get the photos we had longed for!

How did you meet? Jesse and I met through a mutual friend while attending college at Tennessee Technological University.

What was your Favorite memory of the day? It is very hard to chose just one memory because it was such a wonderful day! Being surrounded by all our family and friends made it all the more special! …If I had to chose, I would say my favorite memory was when we had our ‘first look’. I am so thankful that we had that moment together in order to hug, kiss, and talk to one another without ‘the world watching’. The photos we have from that time together will be cherished forever.

Do You have any advice for other brides? Choosing how you want to make your exit can be challenging …and can become quite pricey (depending on what you have in mind). Our florist suggested that we toss rose petals; since she would take the outer petals off before making the arrangements anyways! It turned out beautifully…not to mention, it was FREE!!
