D’Amore Events of Indianapolis Wedding|Anne & Andy

Hello all!  Today I have a dazzling fete with lots of style.  Anne & Andy held their sky high reception on the 48th floor of the Chase Tower in Indianapolis.  The reception was held in the D’Amore, a luxury venue with ceiling to floor windows and a stunning 360 degree view of the city.   The ladies at Eventfull Planning creatively put together a mix of black and white linens with the color aqua, hues of pink and dabs of cream.  What a great use of color!

Special thanks go to Meg Miller Photography for sharing this beautiful event with us today.

Kelly & Chris’s Calhoun Beach Club Wedding

Good day everyone!  Today I have a classically elegant wedding, submitted by Studio Laguna Photography, in a modern black and white scheme with pops of red.

From the Photographer: Kelly and Chris planned an intimate modern wedding at the Calhoun Beach Club with only close friends and family. With Chris’ children in the wedding party and another little one on the way, this wedding focused on the blending two families together. Kelly chose a beautiful mod color palette to compliment the crisp grey and white design of the Calhoun Beach Club. Violets Flowers created modern lushious arrangements that popped against the backdrop. The guests were treated to true decadence with D’Amico’s food which was over the top luxurious. Completing the night was Kelly’s favorite red velvet cake.

From the Bride, Kelly:

How did you meet?

Chris and I met at a Minnesota Wild game through mutual friends on New Year’s Eve, 2008.

What was your Wedding Planning, Inspiration and Style?

I just wanted something contemporary but elegant.  I loved the damask pattern, and the crispness of black and white, with the pop of red.  The venue had a really beautiful look and style that required very little additional decor, which was nice because we didn’t have to do much of anything other than flowers.  I wanted a lot of texture in our bouquets and variations in red, which our florist did a spectacular job of.  We also wanted the focus to be about family.  Chris has 3 great children that were part of the ceremony – we all lit the unity candle and for dinner we were all seated around a big family style table (we had 29 guests, so it was like a big family dinner).  Even our favors were a family item – my Dad raises bees, so we gave everyone a small jar of honey from his harvest.

What was your Favorite memory of the day?

Seeing Chris for the first time was a wonderful moment.  For me the best part of the day was saying our I Do’s and when the minister announced us a Husband and Wife.  I also loved the Irish Blessing that my father read at the end of the ceremony – it has become sort of a tradition, and when Chris, the kids and I all lit the unity candle, it was really an emotional moment.

Do You have any advice for other brides?

You don’t have to spend a ton of money to have a wonderful day.  Enjoy every moment and don’t stress too much while planning, it goes by really fast.  I would also make sure you have a great photographer…I love our photos and every time I look at them, I am immediately brought back to how I felt that day.  Find a dress you love…I literally want to have another wedding just so I can wear my dress.
