Madelyn’s in the Grove Country Wedding| Amanda & Scott

After seeing Madelyn’s in the Grove, Amanda and Scott both knew that it was the place that they would start the rest of their lives together.  With all its beautiful surroundings and magnificent two story Greek Revival mansion, the couple new they had to take a chance on having an outdoor wedding.  Carla McLemore Photography did a wonderful job capturing the day, and the eclectic southern style this event portrayed.

The wedding palette was full of purple hues, such as lavender, cream, blue and yellow.  What a romantic and lovely combination.

Now on to the Pics…..

From the Bride: “For flowers, I have two aunts that agreed to help me with bouquets and boutonnieres, along with a few arrangements. They used the flowers out of their own yards, my grandmother’s yard, and then a few family friends’ yards.”

From the Bride: “ My mom had purchased several lace tablecloths and curtains last summer. I also used a few lace tablecloths that had belonged to my grandmother, which had a very special meaning to me.So much of our wedding decorations were borrowed from family and friends. I was fortunate that I did not have to go out and purchase or rent too many items. I would have to say that Pinterest played a major role in decorating for the wedding. You can simply type in “Southern Wedding” and come up with hundreds of ideas!”

From the Bride: “Lynn Bailey with Lynn’s cakes made both the wedding cake and the grooms cake for the wedding. I used the same cake knife my mom and dad used at their wedding almost 30 years ago for our wedding. For the grooms table, since Scott and I are both University of Alabama alumni, we decided to use a houndstooth tablecloth and red and white shakers. I know that without my family and friends, there is no way that my dream wedding would have come true. ”
