This has to be the most creative offbeat wedding I have posted yet, and I just love it. Nancy & Dylan’s wedding took place at Great Woods Park and Campground and was captured by Sugar & Soul Photography. The two love birds exchanged vows under a big tree with a sign decorated with colorful streamers above them that read “I don’t want Diamond Sunbursts or Marble Halls… I just want you”.
I really love the bride’s bouquet of red hearts and red ostrich feathers. The bridesmaid’s bouquets were just as lovely and creative with red hearts, glittery blue sequins, ribbon and white ostrich feathers.
The reception was decorated with paper chains, streamers, mason jars, and glittery signs. Guests played a scratch ticket game to find their table number, while personalized placemats filled with games awaited them at their tables. The couple also had a magician preform tricks for their guests, a tandem bike, and a photo booth.
And here is my favorite part – they had breakfast buffet for dinner! Chocolate milk on tap and then had pizza later on in the night. Yum
From the Bride/ How he proposed: We are avid Vegas travellers, so for my 30th birthday, us and 10 other friends all met up there to celebrate! We were out the night of my birthday celebrating and all of a sudden I see one of my friends crying! I’m wondering what’s wrong with her (she already knew…), that’s when Dylan comes to me and says, “I’m sorry that your gift I got sent here didn’t arrive yet,” (it was a pair of wicked platforms from one of my favourite shoe designers, Iron Fist), “But I wanted to give you something right now.” He dropped to one knee and held up the bling! I couldn’t stop screaming.. “Are you serious?! Are you kidding me?!” over and over. I called my mom at 530am Winnipeg time… she thought we won a big jackpot of money =)
From the Bride: We had some cute surprises during our ceremony including 2 secret ring bears (the rings were randomly taped under 2 chairs.. we didn’t even know!) and a ribbon cutting.
