Snowflakes & Glitter Winter Wonderand Wedding|Jennifer & Gregory

I know we’re just coming out of a deep winter freeze, and finally experiencing beautiful spring days, but I had to share this enchanting winter wonderland wedding that was recently submitted by Lennon Photo.  The bride and groom’s chosen color scheme of midnight blue, silver and white is just perfect for such a magical theme.

From the Photographer: Jenn and Greg are super fun to be around and they wanted to make sure that their friends and family had an amazing time at their wedding. Jenn’s theme was a winter wonderland. She hired an invitation designer to create a beautiful invitation lined with snowflakes and glitter. From start to end, every detail was geared toward their theme, from the stunning décor, which included dangling snowflakes, to the sweet gift of a snowflake cupcake. Jenn and Greg had it covered and delivered on all counts.

From the Bride, Jennifer:

How did you meet?

Greg actually rented an apartment in my mom’s house! :) He lived right upstairs! We lived under the same roof for almost a year before going on a date.

What was your Wedding Planning, Inspiration and Style:

I relied heavily on Pinterest. Using Pinterest kept me organized. My theme was winter and snowflakes with a cool icy sparkly touch. I chose a simple color palette and went from there.

What was your Favorite memory of the day?

Seeing Greg for the first time at our reveal before the ceremony.

Do You have any advice for other brides?

Stay organized.

Do not stress the minuscule details.

Things will go wrong.

Don’t stress when they do.

Always keep in mind the true point of the day: to marry the man (or woman) you love.

Blue and Orange Florida Gators Themed Wedding|Sue & Ricky

Hello all! I have a super cute Florida Gator wedding theme, brought together by At Last Wedding + Event Design, to show off.   The bride, Sue, is a University of Florida alumni and a true Gator fan, so it was only fitting for her to incorporate it into her wedding plans.  This blue and orange fete, captured by Kristen Wynn Photography, even had bride and groom Florida Gator cake topper – too cute!

Don’t forget to read the brides comments at the end of the post!

From the Bride, Sue:

How did you meet?

We met on eHarmony.com.  Yes, we met online!  We messaged for a few weeks while Ricky was away in Germany on a business trip.  When he returned, we started talking on the phone and he soon asked me on a date.  He took me out on our first date to Cafe Trastevere, a cute little Italian place in downtown Orlando, despite the food poisoning that he brought back from his trip.  We had a blast, and it was instant chemistry and nonstop laughing and fun from the beginning.  I took no mercy regarding the food poisoning and ordered a bottle, yes a whole bottle, of wine on the first date.  I was super nervous, but if you ask Ricky, it happened because he was footing the bill :)

What was your Wedding Planning, Inspiration and Style?

My wedding planning style was me!  Not too simple, but not too complex, not boring, but not extravagant.  I tried to stick to a “theme” and just picked out my favorite things that would correlate.  I would say my inspiration was the Florida Gators of course.  I am a huge Gator fan and a Gator alumni, so I truly bleed orange and blue.  Of course our day had to reflect my alma mater’s colors.  We even had a Gator bride and groom cake topper.  I was a super busy working girl so planning was a bit stressful, and Jaclyn at At Last helped me get everything on track and organized.  Couldn’t have done it without her!

What was your Favorite memory of the day?

My favorite memory of the day was when Ricky was saying his vows that he wrote to me.  They were hands-down the most loving words ever spoken to me. ;)   I know, so cheesy.  Although the whole ceremony seems such a blur to me because I was so nervous (I have major stage fright), I’ll never forget his vows and the way he said them to me.  I also loved the dancing and silliness of being with all of our friends and family in one place!  People who I’d never thought would be silly were getting down on the dance floor-everyone from Ricky’s 87 year old grandfather to his best man’s 2 year old son!  Everyone was loving the photobooth as well, so I have those silly pictures and video messages as memories of how much fun everyone was having at our wedding.

Do You have any advice for other brides?

My advice to other brides is not to worry what other people think or want.  It’s YOUR day and your fiance’s day, so pick the food you want, the music you want, and do it the way you pictured it.  Don’t let anyone bully you into doing something (or not doing something) that you want to do.  You only get one day and when it’s over you don’t want to wish something was different.  You’ll want to think that everything was exactly perfect, because it’s exactly what you wanted it to be!
