Have a Casino Wedding Theme for a Change

A lot of couples are dreaming of a Las Vegas wedding but not everybody can afford to bring the entire wedding entourage, the guest list and the party to Nevada just for the event. Fortunately, you really do not have to bring everyone to Las Vegas. With a little imagination, you can have a casino wedding theme with all the neon lights and the casino action.

A casino wedding theme is generally far from the traditional wedding. Remember that you cannot have an extremely formal wedding if you want a casino themed wedding. However, you can still include some traditions if you want but make sure to stick with your theme.

Another important thing to remember is that a casino wedding theme does not call for any special ceremony because this theme can definitely work with practically any ceremony. However, if you are planning to have your ceremony in a church, it may be essential to get in touch with certain people to ensure that you can do the theme on the location.

Las Vegas is known for its abundance of fashion and your wedding should incorporate these styles. It is important to keep everything informal and casual especially at your wedding reception. The colors in your wedding should include red, white and black, just like the colors you usually see in casinos.

Make sure that your wedding decorations can recreate a Las Vegas scene. You can hang neon lights around the hall and select green felt fabric for your table linens in order to imitate the tables in the casinos. It is also a good idea to hang collages and other decors made from poker chips and have miniature slot machines as your centerpiece.

Aside from the entertainment and gambling, Las Vegas is also famous for its remarkable food especially its buffets so make sure to include this idea into your wedding reception. Have food stations all over the venue so that guests can enjoy their food to the fullest. There must be cocktail waitresses dressed in ‘Las Vegas attire’ who bring drinks to the guests.
