How to Create Beach Theme Weddings

For most couples, the beach is probably one of the most romantic places to get married and for those who want to say ‘I do’ at the beach, there are certain things that must be considered to make a perfect beach wedding. Whether you are holding your ceremony at the seashore or just want to have one of those beach theme weddings, here are some pointers in planning for your perfect wedding:

1.Determine how formal you want your wedding to be. Though the beach may mean flip-flops, swimsuits and short dresses, it does not necessary mean that you are required to have beachwear as your dress codes. Your wedding should still be a formal ceremony and as much as possible, keep everything formal and just add some beach elements into it.

2.If you decide to do your wedding at the beach, it is important to be flexible. Remember that although beach themed weddings are gorgeous, they could be unpredictable. You cannot control the rain or the wind and never let nature ruin your perfect day. Make sure to be prepared and have back up plans.

3.There are beach weddings that basically let the beach be their wedding theme but this plan can be quite tricky. If you do not have a specific style, there may be a lot of conflicting elements in your wedding, making it a bit like of a carnival. Therefore, make sure to choose a single or a couple of elements to emphasize such as lighthouses, seashells or starfish. Then, work on your wedding design based on these elements.

4.Choose proper design elements and centerpieces. Keep in mind that a beach wedding reception must compete with the nature’s splendor. Instead of flowers that can be blown by the wind, it is better to have alternative centerpieces such as sand castles and floating orchids and if you are planning to have your beach wedding at night, it is ideal to have electric candles all over the venue to make your wedding more romantic.
